This diploma will suit those who consider individuals and society need to rearrange their mental furniture to manage the complexity of an increasingly interconnected world. It is concerned with the use and development of systems thinking and methods to improve decision-making and active intervention in the management of complexity in various contexts (commercial, governmental and social enterprises) involving people and technology. Particular emphasis is given to Information Systems and Environmental Management for sustainable development, institutional change and learning. Key skills include situation analysis, project management and the design of inquiry processes using systems ideas, techniques and methods and the use of critical refection on your own activities as a systems practitioner.
