Optimising System Performance
This two day course covers the concepts of interpreting pump maintenance
Using worked examples, based on typical performance curves, the course will discuss in detail the way a pump performance curve is derived, and how to match pump performance to system requirements. Factors which adversely affect pump performance will also be discussed.
Operation of multi-pump installations and operation under variable hydraulic conditions will also be covered, together with guidance on how to optimise the overall efficiency of such systems.
Delegates will be encouraged to work through the calculations and produce their own performance curves, illustrating the various topics covered.
Objectives and benefits:
How to select a pump for specific duty
How to interpret manufacturers€™ technical information
How to match a pump to a pumping system
How to deal with variable conditions
Choosing the optimum number of pumps
Changing pump output to suit the conditions
Course Programme:
Matching pump performance to the system
Optimising the pumping station layout
