The M.Sc. in Environmental Strategy provides students with a wide-range of management and analytical skills to make effective decisions, perform impact analyses, determine risks, effectively engage stakeholders and function within a changing legal and regulatory arena. Through their studies at CES, students sharpen their powers of analysis and knowledge base, build the confidence and judgement needed to weigh competing demands and become skilled at shaping effective and practical solutions. The M.Sc.in Environmental Strategy is directed toward students from a wide range of academic and professional backgrounds and interested in pursuing successful careers in environmental management and policy areas.
The programmes have a flexible structure with modules offered as a series of intensive one-week lectures, seminars and practical exercises, supported by independent learning material. Each module is self-contained and individually assessed. Most of the modules are attended together with students on the University's prestigious Engineering Doctorate (Eng.D) programme in Environmental Technology. Students can undertake their studies either on a full-time or part-time basis.
In addition to the MSc qualification, the courses also offer a direct route to Associate Membership of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA).
