The course covers Solar Thermal, Wood Fuel Heating, Heat Pumps, Solar Photovoltaic, Wind Power and Micro-Hydro. The aim is to give a background to each of these technologies, to explain what each can do and to cover payback periods, grants, costs etc. A working example of each technology will be shown.
It is designed to be suitable for a wide range of people from those with a general interest through to architects and specifiers, Housing Officers, teachers, students, Individuals who have completed S/NVQ and Builders Merchants/DIY Store employees.
At the end of the weekend, it will be possible to take an assessment, which will lead to the BPEC certificate in 'Renewables Awareness'
