Who will benefit?
Designers, plant engineers and those responsible for the general layout of steam and condensate services.
This is a project-based course designed to give delegates the opportunity to put the knowledge they have gained into practice, and to encourage discussion with other delegates and specialist engineers.
To provide specialised knowledge of current practices in steam and condensate systems, and also the factors to be considered in their design.
Delegates will learn about:
- The fundamentals of steam
- Steam distribution and pipe sizing
- Steam trapping and checking
- Condensate recovery and pipe sizing
- Pressure reduction
- Temperature control valve sizing
- Flash steam recovery
This course can be undertaken as part of a BTEC Certificate.
